Planning phase
- Establish main objectives to align with your team’s goals
- We create a custom Path for your organization from the Empathable library of Walks
Opening session
- Emphasize the importance of empathy as a driver of performance. It’s not a soft skill.
- Onboard participants onto the app and experience one Walk together.
A Path
- A Path is made up of multiple Walks
- A Walk is a point-of-view video that allows participants to walk in the shoes of a real person. We’ve captured a real moment from their life and recreated it in a point-of-view perspective.
- In the app, participants will go on a Walk, have the chance to:
- Express what thoughts and feelings come up for them
- Contextualize the moment into their experience – is this a familiar or new experience?
- Hear from others and their perspectives.
- Practice sharing their authentic perspective about the experience.
- Outside of the app, participants are paired or grouped with Conversation Partners. With their partners, they will have the opportunity to further nuance their perspective by hearing from other viewpoints.
Empathy to Action
- During monthly commitment sessions and the end of engagement session, we take participants through the motions of creating tangible and measurable commitments to integrate their learning into their daily lives.
- Pre and Post app measurements –
- Participants will fill out a survey answering questions to record their current confidence in their empathy skills. This happens before and after the app experience to measure changes.
- Results from our clients:
- +80% confidence in one’s own empathy skills
- +34% confidence leading challenging conversations
